Dr. David Fierce has been practicing optometry for 21 years, specializing in the detection and treatment of eye disease’s such as Dry Eye Syndrome, Glaucoma, Allergies and Age-Related Eye Disease. Dr. Fierce earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Ohio State University in 1990. He completed his externship program at the Chillicothe Veterans Administration Hospital in Ohio. Dr. Fierce has pioneered a successful eye practice in East Cobb and joined with Dr. Fred Long in 2009 to co-found Advanced Eye of Marietta.
Dr. Fierce is also the founder and lead physician of the Mobile Vision Eye Care of Atlanta. Mobile Vision provides quality eye care to assisted living and nursing home centers in which residents are unable to obtain outside eye care. Dr. Fierce is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Georgia Optometric Association.
In addition to co-managing cataract and laser vision correction surgeries, Dr. Fierce is dedicated to fitting contact lenses to ensure the best vision and comfort. He has a strong following of patients due to his belief in taking the time to thoroughly and efficiently examine his patient’s eyes and recommend the proper treatment. Dr. Fierce provides after hours emergency care to all of his patients.
Dr. Fierce provides community outreach by educating people about the importance of eye health in schools, organizations and senior centers. Building lasting relationships with his patients and their families is the driving force behind the success of Dr. Fierce and Advanced Eye of Marietta. In his spare time, Dr. Fierce enjoys hiking, biking and traveling with his wife and three daughters.
